North Guilford Congregational Church held their Advent Celebration recently, bringing an evening filled with song and celebration. St. John's Episcopal Church Choir joined with the church's own choir to fill the night with music.
"The evening began with a delectable pork roast dinner, followed by a concert in the sanctuary," Diane Grasso shared with Guilford Patch. A brass ensemble featuring children of the North Guilford Congregational Church kicked off the musical event.

"Then the NGCC Handbell Choir played a set of Christmas carols," continued Grasso. "The two choirs performed a delightful modern oratorio, 'Let the Whole World Sing' by Joel Raney." Pastors Rosemary Dawson and Maureen Lederman narrated the piece.
After the concert, the Christmas tree was lit up while the brass ensemble led everyone in song. "The evening ended with a flourish of fellowship, cookies and cocoa at St. John's."
