Obituary: Anthony "Butch" DeLeonardo, 77, of Guilford

Anthony, fondly known as "Big Boo", was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, machinist, avid shooter and member of the Guilford Rod & Gun club.

GUILFORD, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Anthony "Butch" DeLeonardo, 77, of Guilford died at home Sept. 19th after a long illness.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Also fondly known as "Big Boo", Anthony was born in New Haven, son of the late Salvatore & Mary DelVecchio DeLeonardo, and worked as a machinist for many years.

An avid shooter, he was a member of the Guilford Rod & Gun club and earned many marksman awards. He also enjoyed fishing, boating and motorcycles.

He is survived by a brother Peter DeLeonardo of Guilford, nieces and nephews (whom he loved like his children) Mark DeLeonardo of North Haven, David DeLeonardo of Wallingford, and Annie (Chris) Sagnella of Hamden, great grand nieces & nephews; Danny & Nolan DeLeonardo, and Jenna, Drew, & Mia Sagnella.

Friends are asked to go directly to St. Barnabas church, North Haven, THURSDAY 10 A.M. for a Mass of Christian burial.

Interment with military honors will follow in Beaverdale memorial Park.
