Obituary: Edward J. Eagan, 77, longtime Guilford resident
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he owned Eagan Plumbing and Heating Company and taught those skills at Bullard Havens Technical High School.
Friday, December 29, 2023 Edward J. Eagan, 77, longtime resident of Guilford passed away at his home. Husband of June (Tuscano) Eagan. Mr. Eagan was born in New Haven on July 30, 1946, son of the late Thomas Eagan and Esther (Madelung) Eagan. Loving father of Jodi Eagan of Guilford and Jaime Eagan Sheridan and her husband Michael of North Kingstown, RI. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Riley, Talia, Lola, Sam and Isla. Brother of Thomas Eagan, Patricia Julianelle and Ronald Eagan.
Edward honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps. He is a 1964 graduate of North Haven High School. For over 35 years Edward owned and operated Eagan Plumbing and Heating Company, later he earned his teaching certificate and passed on his plumbing and heating expertise to students at Bullard Havens Technical High School where he served as both an instructor and Department Head.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whether that be at a sporting event, a dance recital or spoiling them on a shopping spree. In his spare time he took pride in landscaping his yard, playing softball and watching the NY Giants.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Saturday, January 6 at 10 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
