Obituary: John C. Laiacone, 86, a longtime Guilford resident

Wednesday, October 18, 2023 John C. Laiacone, 86, longtime resident of Guilford passed away at Arden House in Hamden. Husband of Joy (Delia) Laiacone. Mr. Laiacone was born in Bridgeport on May 13, 1937, son of the late John Laiacone and Anna (Abramo) Laiacone. Father of Loretta(Margaret) ,Cheryl, John(Catherine) Luanne( David) and Mathew, 4 stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of Angela Weber

John proudly served his country in US Navy. He graduated from Bullard Havens, Phoenix Community College. Before his retirement, he worked for General Electric as a corporate barber for many years and owned his own barber shop. John was an avid football fan, he loved watching game shows with his wife and grandchildren, he was happiest being a “Snowbird" in Florida, and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with Joy his wife of 40 years.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on Saturday, October 28 at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
