Known for her Irish Soda Bread, she enjoyed travel abroad, casino trips, and was a bowling champion and avid UConn women's basketball fan.

Kathleen Eleanor Harrington Lamb, 91, passed peacefully from this life on October 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born on December 9, 1931, in Providence, RI, the daughter of John Harrington and Ellen Cassidy Harrington of Cork and Leitrim, Ireland, becoming a first-generation Irish American. She was the proud wife of 46 years to the late Lawrence T. Lamb. Following their marriage, Kathleen and Lawrence moved to Hamden, CT, where they raised their family. They relocated to Guilford, CT in retirement and enjoyed many years living on the shoreline, close to their children and grandchildren. Kathleen was predeceased by her brother John Harrington and is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Harrington. Kathleen was the loving mother of three daughters, Joanne (Timothy), Maureen (Nicholas), and Patricia, and two sons, Daniel and Theodore. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher and Luke Reilly, Julia and Michael Afeltra, Augustus and Isadore Lamb, and Sarah Lamb.

Kathleen devoted her life to raising her family and supporting her husband in his career. She loved to host family gatherings and was always happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was known for her Irish bread, a recipe passed on to her from her mother. Kathleen and Lawrence enjoyed traveling together, including memorable trips to Ireland, Alaska, and Hawaii, and they always enjoyed trips to the casinos. Kathleen was a bowling champion during her years in Hamden, and she was an avid fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball team. She never missed a televised game and was thrilled to attend a game at Gampel Pavilion on campus when her grandson was a student at UConn. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their athletic, musical, and scouting activities. During her lifetime, Kathleen was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden and St. George Church in Guilford.
