A “Navy Brat,” Shellie grew up in Guam, Hawaii, San Diego, and Virginia Beach, and as an adult settled in Guilford where while working for H. Pearce, she met her true love Ron. They met in October of 1988, were engaged in December, and married in September 1989. Throughout the years they traveled, worked , volunteered, and most importantly raised Alex together, supporting him in all of his ventures. Nothing brought more happiness to Shellie than to watch Alex sing and perform, and to host him and his friends over the years. She always made them feel well-loved and welcomed; acting as the “bonus mom” to many. Shellie loved crafting, baking, planning and hosting, but mostly she loved her family, and never let the chance to say “I love you” slip away.
