William F. Oppelt longtime resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at Apple Health Care of Old Saybrook. Husband of the late Felicia (Capezzone) Oppelt. Bill was born in Hartford on May 5, 1930, son of the late William F. Oppelt Sr and Theresa (Fody) Oppelt. Survived by a niece Joanna Davis of Branford, his good friend Sandy Marra, along with his extended Capezzone family of brothers and sisters–in–laws and nieces and nephews and. Predeceased by a brother, Robert Oppelt.
Before retirement Bill was a Leadman of Assembly for Royal Typewriter He always enjoyed family gatherings and his casino trips.

Friends are invited a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, January 31 at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford.
