GUILFORD, CT - Ever since it was first proposed a plan to bring a disc golf course to Guilford has had its share of supporters but its also has had its share of opponents. “The Guilford Parks and Recreation Department is planning to construct an 18 hole disc golf course at Bittner Park. The course would wind through the wooded areas of the park, highlighting some of the unique natural features, including but not limited to; rock walls, rock outcrops, ledges and streams.
“The design would require the removal of brush and small trees in the fairways, but would limit the removal of any large treees. All attempts would be made to limit the impact on existing trails, though one or two spurs or partial loops may be rerouted.”

The survey has several questions including “What is your level of support” for the course and “How often might you play,” and “Would you attend a public hearing” on the course.”
