Piano for Any And All To Play Set Up At Guilford Green

GUILFORD, CT - Anyone who lives in Guilford knows one of the things that makes the town so special is its unique Town Green. Well the Green just got another added touch that you won’t see most anywhere else in America - a piano for anyone who wants to play.

On Page’s side of the Green, an old piano has just been placed.

At the most recent Park and Recreation Commission meeting, Recreation Director Rick Maynard said a group wished to install an old piano on the Green “for anyone to play.”

Maynard said the piano would be on the Green from June to September.

The Green Committee approved the request with the stipulation that the “piano be protected from the elements.”

The Board of Selectmen also signed off on the idea.
