Post Sandy, Elections in Guilford Continue as Scheduled

As Guilford recovers from Sandy, elections continue as planned

Even with half the town currently out of power Post Sandy, elections will continue as planned in Guilford. Yesterday, First Selectman Joseph Mazza stated that elections will continued as scheduled at designated voting locations.

When polled pre-Sandy, Guilford had issued 934 Absentee ballots. Those voting with an Absentee ballot can vote up until the day before the election.

This year, the Voter Registration Summary as of last week was as follows:

Democratic: 5,177

Republican: 3,515

Unaffiliated: 6,856

Other: 55

Total: 15,603

These numbers were fairly consistent with registration numbers from last election, which were as follows:

Democratic: 5,126

Republican: 3,566

Unaffiliated: 6,913

Other: 38

Total: 15,643

Voting for the town will take place Nov. 6th until 8 PM at the following locations, depending on your district:

District One: Calvin Leete School

District Two: Baldwin Middle School

District Three: Fire Department Headquarters

District Four: Melissa Jones

District Five: A.W. Cox Elementary
