Strong Winds Knocking Trees Down and Closing Roads in Guilford
The strong winds in Guilford on Sunday are causing problems with downed trees and closed roads

GUILFORD, CT - The strong winds hitting the area are causing problems in Guilford on Sunday.
The police department, on its Facebook page, says the following:
"The winds are upon us and the trees are losing the battle.

"Long Hill Road will be closed, just north of Baldwin Middle School, between Alpha and Spruce Hill Road for the next several hours. A large limb bell, taking the wires with it. Eversource is en route and will be repairing the damage. Please avoid the area.
