The Ancient Sport Of Falconry To Be Featured At GLCT Meeting Sunday

The Guilford Land Conservation Trust will hold its annual meeting Sunday June 9, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the GLCT’s Jared Eliot Preserve, 88 Mulberry Farms Rd, Guilford (off Mulberry Point Rd). Everyone is welcome! Stop by and find out how you can help this organization acquire and conserve natural places for future generations.

"After a short business meeting we are pleased to welcome Brian Bradley of Skyhunters In Flight. Brian has been a falconer and animal trainer for over twenty years His love of raptors and a desire to educate others about these magnificent creatures led to the creation of Skyhunters In Flight – an educational program with performing birds of prey and his demonstrations offer a detailed look at the world of raptors. Get up-close to these and other beautiful birds from around the world and learn about the ancient sport of falconry, their natural history and biology in the wild. Experience the silent flight of an owl, see a hawk swoop down to catch prey on the ground, and watch a falcon’s aerial exercise as he chases a lure at high speed. This exciting and informative program offers something for everyone."
