Upcoming Events In Guilford To Benefit Meals On Wheels

GUILFORD, CT — Two upcoming events in Guilford will help benefit Meals on Wheels, which is under the umbrella of Guilford Interfaith Volunteers.

Darling Diva Bingo

On Friday, Sept. 26, Darling Diva Bingo will be held at the VFWP Post Hall at 104 Mill Road.

The Darling Divas will entertain with performances during the night's 10 bingo games. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with festivities starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $40 in advance, with proceeds supporting Meals on Wheels.

There will be a cash bar and desserts available for purchase. Attendees an bring their own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

The event is for those 18 and up - no children allowed. To reserve a seat, call the Meals on Wheels office at 203-453-8359.

Disc Golf Tournament

The fifth annual disc golf tournament to benefit Meals on Wheels is scheduled for Oct. 25 at Bittner Park, 1390 Durham Road.

The tournament will begin at 11 a.m. in a shotgun style start, and go until around 1 p.m.

Tickets are $40 and include a disc and scorecard, a round of golf, coffee, snacks and water.

Attendees can come as a group or as singles and be paired with similarly skilled players.

Pre-registration is preferred, as space is limited to 72 participants (four per hole).
