Christmas Holiday Closures, Announcements In Hamden
Officials announce the schedule for town buildings and trash collection for Christmas, starting on Wednesday, Dec. 24.

HAMDEN, CT — Town officials are alerting residents and staff of the following holiday schedule changes.
Wednesday, Dec. 24: Non-essential Town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center and the Senior Center, will close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24. All Hamden Public Library buildings will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24. The Hamden Transfer Station will be open during their regularly scheduled hours, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24.

Thursday, Dec. 25: Town offices and buildings, including Government Center, Keefe Community Center, the Senior Center, all Hamden Public Library buildings, and the Hamden Transfer Station, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas Day. The library’s digital branch is available 24/7.
Friday, Dec. 26: The Brundage Community Library Branch and the Whitneyville Library Branch will be closed Friday, Dec. 26. All other Town offices and buildings will reopen Friday, Dec. 26 at their regularly scheduled hours.

Trash and Recycling Pick-Up Delay: Trash and recycling pick-up for Thursday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 26 will be delayed by one day due to the Christmas Day holiday. The pick-up normally scheduled for Thursday will occur on Friday, and Friday’s pick-up will take place on Saturday.
