Connex Credit Union Announces New Vice President of Unbanking
Vice President of Unbanking Olivia Fay will assist the marketing team in developing new programs.

NORTH HAVEN, CT – Connex Credit Union, one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions, is proud to announce that they have selected their Vice President (VP) of Unbanking for the 2016-2017 school year. The Vice President of Unbanking is a unique opportunity that provides a local student with real-world marketing experience unlike any other internship. Olivia Fay, a junior at Quinnipiac University, has been selected to help the Connex marketing department generate new ideas to improve the lives of its members.
Fay resides in Westwood, Massachusetts but is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. A perennial Dean’s List student, Fay has completed courses in Integrated Marketing Communication, Business Law, Business Communications and other subjects that will allow her to excel in this position. Additionally, she was also involved in a comprehensive business simulation requiring her to develop business plans and strategies, as well as track, analyze and compare the results.

This past summer, Fay assisted Skycore (Waltham, Massachusetts) as a marketing intern. She resumed her studies in the fall and will be returning to her job as Statistician with Quinnipiac Intramurals, a position she has held since 2014, in addition to her role as VP of Unbanking.
When she is not working, Fay is a proud member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. As a part of this organization, she has participated in a variety of charitable projects that will serve her well in populating new initiatives for ConnexCares, Connex’s philanthropic program. Additionally, she is an avid ice hockey player and skier, and also enjoys travelling.

“Selecting our VP of Unbanking is an endeavor that we do not take lightly and reducing an abundant amount of highly-qualified applicants was not an easy task,” said Louise Nestor, director of Marketing, Connex Credit Union. “After much deliberation, we are confident that Olivia will take advantage of this real-world opportunity and use her work ethic and talent to assist our credit union in its quest to improve the lives of our members.”
As the VP of Unbanking, Fay is required to work a minimum of 15 hours a week and will receive a stipend.

This YouTube page is home to entertaining and useful clips from the credit union including the new Financial Flash web series offering quick tips and tricks to help you take control of your financial situation.
