Hamden Schools Important Calendar Dates To Know: Holiday Break To Be Extra Long

HAMDEN, CT — As we approach the holiday season, here is an updated look at the Hamden Public Schools calendar for the remainder of 2025 and the 2026 school year.

You'll notice an extra long holiday break from Christmas Eve through Jan. 6, which is Three Kings Day. Students returns to school on Jan. 7, 2026.

There isn't a winter break on the calendar but there is a spring break from April 13-17.

The tentative last day of the school year is currently June 11, but that could change depending on how many snow days there are.

Hamden Public Schools key dates to be aware of:

Dec. 23: early dismissal

Holiday recess: Dec. 24 through Jan. 6, which includes No School- Three Kings Day on Jan. 6

School returns: Jan. 7

No School- Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Jan. 19

Jan. 26: early dismissal for professional development

Early Dismissal- Professional Development: Feb. 9

No School- Presidents' Day: Feb. 16

No School- Eid al-Fitr: March 20

No School- Good Friday: April 3

Early Dismissal- Professional Development: April 6

Spring Break: April 13-17

No School- Memorial Day: May 25

Early Dismissal- Last Day of School (tent.): June 11
