Police are looking for the person — thought to be a teenager — who allegedly stole a scooter from an Atlas Street home and then fired several gunshots at the homeowner and a neighbor who tried to catch him, according to police.
The incident happened Monday night at about 10 p.m., according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.
Officers learned that several people entered the Atlas Street property and stole the scooter, Smith said.

Two of the homeowner's friends confronted the men as they left the property and headed down Welton Street, he said, and were able to get the scooter back, but not before one got punched in the face by one of the suspects.
The homeowner and a neighbor tried to follow the men as they were getting away, themselves on scooters Smith said, when one fired a gunshot at the homeowner.
