Popular Hot Chicken Restaurant To Open Location In Hamden: Report
The popular hot chicken franchise is planning on opening a new location in Hamden, according to a report.
HAMDEN, CT — Popular chain restaurant Dave's Hot Chicken plans on opening another location in Hamden, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
The Connecticut Scoop reports Dave’s Hot Chicken has signed a lease for 2165 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden in the former DiBella’s Subs space.
Dave’s Hot Chicken opened its first Connecticut location in Milford earlier this year, and is also opening a restaurant in Newington on Friday.

Dave's Hot Chicken is a Los Angeles-based chain that specializes in hot chicken tenders and sliders, with spice levels ranging from "No Spice" to "Reaper." Each restaurant also serves sides of house-made "kale slaw," mac-and-cheese and fries or cheese fries.
Dave's Hot Chicken announced in 2022 that it would be expanding in Connecticut when a multi-franchise agreement was signed with serial fast food restaurateur Chris Johnson.

Founded by classically-trained chef Dave Kopushyan and three friends in early 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken initially opened as a parking lot pop-up. It has since expanded to more than 40 locations in the United States and Canada.
