Dave’s Hot Chicken Sets Opening Date In Hamden
The popular hot chicken franchise is opening its fifth Connecticut location in Hamden.

HAMDEN, CT — Popular chain restaurant Dave's Hot Chicken is opening its latest location in Hamden on Saturday, Oct. 25, according to WTNH News 8.
WTNH reported that a grand-opening event will take place at the restaurant, located in the former DiBella’s Subs space at 2165 Dixwell Ave., at 11 a.m. on Oct. 25.
Dave’s Hot Chicken opened its first Connecticut location in Milford earlier this year, and also opened restaurants in Newington, Southington and Stamford.

Dave's Hot Chicken is a Los Angeles-based chain that specializes in hot chicken tenders and sliders, with spice levels ranging from "No Spice" to "Reaper." Each restaurant also serves sides of house-made "kale slaw," mac-and-cheese and fries or cheese fries.
Dave's Hot Chicken announced in 2022 that it would be expanding in Connecticut when a multi-franchise agreement was signed with serial fast food restaurateur Chris Johnson.

Founded by classically-trained chef Dave Kopushyan and three friends in early 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken initially opened as a parking lot pop-up.
