Froyo World to Open in Hamden

A frozen yogurt franchise is expected to open this spring in the Hamden Plaza next to Paneras. The small franchiser, Froyo World, is based in New Haven. 

Froyo World bills itself as "Connecticut’s first self-serve frozen yogurt lounge."  The company plans to open six locations in Connecticut this spring, according to its website, including outlets in Cheshire and North Haven. 

The company is owned by William and Dennis Bok of Branford, according to state records. It incorporated in March 2010. Froyo" is industry slang for "frozen yogurt."
