Get Married for Free on Valentines Day in Hamden
Once again, Hamden Town Clerk Vera Morrison is offering couples free weddings on Valentines Day, but you have to act now to reserve your wedding.

It's that time of year again -- love is in the air at the Hamden Town Clerk's office, where once again Town Clerk Vera Morrison is waiving the $30 mariage license fee for anyone wanting to get hitched on Valentines Day.
Local Justices of the Peace, under a decorated wedding arch, also will provide free Valentine’s Day nuptial service. Other goods & services will be provided by local businesses, Morrison said.

The service is available to Hamden residents only on a first come, first serve basis. There are limited time slots available. Proof of I.D. is required at time of application.
“Our Town Hall staff is eagerly anticipating our 17th year of nuptials in the heart of Town Hall, and family members are encouraged to attend the ceremony,” Morrison said.

Anyone interested in tying the knot should stop by the Town Clerk’s office on the Lower Level of the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Ave., or call 203-287-7112 as soon as possible.
The cutoff for applications is Monday, Feb. 4.
