Hall Of Fame Nominations Sought For Southern CT Diamond Club
The Southern Connecticut Diamond Club is seeking nominations for its Hall of Fame Class of 2025 and two other annual honors.
HAMDEN, CT — The Southern Connecticut Diamond Club, Inc., is seeking nominations for its Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
The Southern Connecticut Diamond Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. The SCDC seeks candidates who have fulfilled the club’s mission of fostering and promoting the game of baseball locally.
Past honorees have included players, teams, coaches, umpires, executives, media members, and league organizers.

The SCDC is also accepting nominations for two other annual honors – the Andrew Gassira Memorial Umpire Award and the Tony Mentone Memorial Distinguished Award. The winners of both awards will be recognized at the Hall of Fame banquet and will be considered members of the Hall of fame.

Nominations with supporting information should be emailed to Rose V. Mentone, Executive Director, at RMentone@comcast.net by Wednesday, July 16. Alternatively, interested parties can contact a member of the SCDC Executive Board.
The SCDC will hold its 17th Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at The Woodwinds in Branford. Ticket information will be announced later this summer.
