Hamden Chamber Recognizes Distinguished Community Leaders and Businesses

HAMDEN, CT – Outstanding businesses and individuals will be honored at the 20th Annual Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce Chamber Choice Awards Dinner on Thursday, November 10 at Cascade in Hamden.

Award recipients were selected as a result of their contributions, leadership and commitment to the community. “It’s truly a pleasure to acknowledge the 2016 honorees,” said Steve Diaz, Chairman of the Hamden Regional Chamber Board of Directors. “Each represents the spirit of the Chamber Choice Awards.”

The 2016 Honorees are:

• Business of the Year: Specialty Wire & Cord Sets
• Small Business of the Year: Lady Olga’s Lingerie
• Service Organization: The Animal Haven
• Business and Community Advocate: Attorney Steve Rolnick
• Chamber Leadership: Karen DelChiaro
• Notable Citizen: John Lahey, President, Quinnipiac University
• Home Base Business: CollegeLogic, Inc.
• Educator of the Year: LuAnn Gallichio, Director of Adult Education, Hamden Public Schools
• Business Students of the Year: Meghan Basilici, Brittney Cifarelli & Brittney Stoyer

“In keeping with the rich tradition of the Chamber Choice Awards for twenty years, each of our recipients has earned this distinct recognition,” said Nancy Dudchik, HRCC President. “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to honor them. They deserve to be recognized for all they do.”
