Hamden Elks Lodge Distinguished Community Service Award

Hamden Elks Lodge will present its distinguished community service award to Allison Batson.

Allison Batson, founder of Dinner for a Dollar at Grace and St. John's Church in Hamden, will be presented with the Hamden Elks Lodge Distinguished Community Service Award on September 13th.

Hamden Elks Lodge #2224 is pleased to present the Distinguished Community Service Award to Allison Batson. Allison is the coordinator of the Dinner-For-A-Dollar Program at Grace and St. John's Church in Hamden. In its tenth year, the program serves over 300 meals each week to families and individuals in our community.

A dinner to honor Allison will be served at Hamden Elks Lodge, located at 175 School Street, Hamden, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 6 pm. The menu will include appetizers, a stuffed chicken breast dinner, salad, and dessert, costing $30 per person. The dinner will be followed by an award presentation.
