Hamden High Students Awarded Healthcare Scholarships

The Auxiliary of the Hospital of Saint Raphael, together with the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary, awarded seven area students the scholarships.

Two Hamden High School students were among seven chosen by the Auxiliary of the Hospital of Saint Raphael, together with the Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary, as the receiptants of  $1,000 scholarships awarded to local high school students and one college student pursuing healthcare careers.

The scholarship awards were based on various criteria, including scholastic achievement, financial need, community and school involvement, and a personal statement from applicants explaining the scholarship's importance to them.

Scholarship recipients include (l-r): Thomas Scott, Hamden High School; Hinala Amin, Lyman Hall High School, Wallingford; West Haven resident Adriana Sandoval, Gateway Community College, New Haven; Amanda Lynn, Guilford High School; Mario Giulietti, Hamden High School; Milford resident Anthony Ciatto, Notre Dame High School, West Haven; Alexander Barron, Foran High School, Milford.
