Hamden Man, 32, Shot In New Haven Sunday Night By Person Known To Him: Police

Just after 8:30 p.m., 911 calls, Shotspotter alert sent cops to Fair Haven, where a man suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wound: NHPD.

NEW HAVEN, CT — It was just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday night, when a Shotspotter notification and 911 calls reporting a person had been shot led officers to Maltby Place in the Fair Haven section of New Haven, police posted to "X."

When cops got there, they located the victim, a 32-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound, police said. The Hamden man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening, police noted.

"It appears the victim and suspect are known to each other and this was a targeted shooting," according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.
