Press Release From League of Women Voters of Hamden-North Haven

HAMDEN / NORTH HAVEN, CT — The election season is here! To assist voters with the resources they need to make an informed vote this fall, the League of Women Voters of Hamden-North Haven offers the annual Voters’ Guide on VOTE411.org as a resource for all voters.

This nonpartisan election resource VOTE411.org, is a “one-stop shop” for election information providing voters with simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process. VOTE411 provides candidate Voters’ Guides, voter registration details, polling place locations, and other helpful election information for all voters nationwide.

We have invited candidates to participate in the Voters’ Guide where they are given the opportunity to present themselves to the voter in their own words. We ask each candidate to share their views about issues important to voters by completing our online questionnaire. Candidates respond to questions by entering their views directly into Vote411; their responses are not edited by LWVHNH.

When there is more than one candidate per office, voters are afforded the unique ability to compare candidates side by side before casting their vote. In an uncontested election, voters learn much more about the person running for a specific office.
