Services for the Hamden resident are this afternoon at Temple Beth Sholom.
Phyllis (Mininsky) Smith, 72, of Hamden, devoted wife of the late Easton Smith, died at her home on Monday, April 22, 2013.
She was born in New York City on Oct. 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Morris and Sylvia (Schwartzberg) Mininsky.
She was the beloved mother of Marni (Stuart) Katz of Woodbridge and Allison Smith of New York City, and the dear sister of Stewart (Colleen) Mininsky of Long Beach, NY, and cherished grandmother of Zachary and Benjamin Katz.
Her funeral Services are at Temple Beth Sholom, 1809 Whitney Ave., Hamden Tuesday afternoon (TODAY) at 3 p.m. with Interment Services to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Derby-Milford Rd., Orange. The family will begin to greet friends and relatives at 2:05 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be sent to Temple Beth Sholom.
A Traditional Period of Mourning will be observed at 889 Ridge Rd., Hamden, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
