Testing submitted to the Connecticut Department of Public Health Saturday has confirmed that tap water meets all regulatory standards and is safe for human consumption.
The RWA tested water samples from multiple sites in the affected area and has verified there is no risk of water contamination from the loss of pressure in the distribution system.
Therefore, the RWA has ended the bottled water distribution.
“Protecting the health and safety of our customers is our highest priority,” said Tom Barger, RWA manager of water quality. “We understand actions like these can be very disruptive, but we will always put our customers’ safety first. We sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience while we took necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the tap water we deliver.”
