Hamden Wins SCC Boys Outdoor Track & Field Championship

HAMDEN, CT — Hamden won its first SCC boys outdoor track and field championship in more than 25 years this week at Amity High School in Woodbridge.

The Green Dragons claimed their second overall SCC title, and the program’s first since 1999.

Hamden finished first with 132 points, and was followed by Xavier with 98 points, and Hand-Madison placed third with 93 points. Lyman Hall and North Haven rounded out the top five with 42 and 41 points, respectively.

Hillhouse’s William Gibson was named the championship meet’s Most Outstanding Performer.
