Hamden Woman Stole DOT Vehicle After 3-Car Crash On Highway: State Police
A woman is facing a long list of charges after she attempted to flee the scene of a crash in a DOT vehicle, according to police.

ORANGE, CT — A woman stole a Department of Transportation vehicle after a three-car crash Thursday morning and is now facing a long list of charges, according to state police.
State police responded to the accident on Route 15 southbound near exit 57 in Orange at 8:58 a.m.
A DOT state service vehicle had arrived at the scene of the crash prior to police.
A driver involved in the accident is accused of swiping the DOT vehicle and fleeing while a worker checked out the crash, state police said.

Troopers briefly pursued the stolen DOT vehicle on Route 15. The vehicle came to a "controlled stop," according to police.
A state trooper suffered minor injuries while the woman was taken into custody, according to News 12 CT.

Dominique Dancy, 46, of Hamden, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, two counts of evading the scene of an accident, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, second-degree reckless endangerment, failure to maintain lane, following too closely, larceny of a motor vehicle, and interfering with an officer.
She was held on $150,000 and is scheduled for arraignment Friday at Derby Superior Court.
