Historic Former Firehouse Sells In Hamden
The historic former firehouse property has been sold, realtors announced.
HAMDEN, CT — The historic former firehouse property on Putnam Avenue in Hamden has been sold for $480,000, realtors announced.
Arnold J. Grant Associates, Inc. and Press|Cuozzo Realtors announced this week the successful sale of the property at 39 Putnam Avenue in Hamden.
The sale was a joint effort between Arnold J. Grant Associates, Inc. and Press|Cuozzo Realtors, according to a news release.

“Originally constructed in 1925, the former firehouse has long stood as a testament to Hamden’s rich civic history,” officials wrote in the news release. “The property attracted considerable interest due to its architectural character, strategic location, and potential for adaptive reuse. The transaction underscores the growing demand for unique, historically significant properties in the region.”
Arnold J. Grant CRE, represented the seller, 39 Putnam Avenue, LLC, and Stephen Press represented the buyer, JaneP Firehouse, LLC. The transaction closed on Oct. 9.

“We’re excited to see what comes next for the building, it was important to find the right buyer who appreciates the value of its history and the potential for its future,” Stephen Press, SIOR, of Press|Cuozzo said.
