Man Sentenced for Luring Hamden Teen To California
The man was charged with luring the then 14-year-old to his home in California in 2013.

HAMDEN, CT - A California man was sentenced Tuesday in a case that involved luring a Hamden teenager to California.
The New Haven Register reports that Nathan Salas, 31, of California, was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for his role in luring a 14-year-old Hamden girl to his home in California back in 2013.
According to the report, Salas, of Yosemite, Calif., had met the teen online, traveled to Hamden and lured the then 14-year-old onto a plane to return home with him. He had told the teen he was 19.

The Hamden teenager, who will be attending college in the fall, had a victims services advocate read a letter she wrote in court on Tuesday. She stated she still suffers from PTSD, The Register reports.
