Unique Donut Shop Closing Location In Hamden

The owners announced the shop was closing "for reasons beyond our control," but said they have been "tirelessly" searching for a new home.

HAMDEN, CT — Mighty Donuts is closing its doors at its Dixwell Avenue location at the end of this month, the owners announced Wednesday.

In a post on Facebook, the owners announced “for reasons beyond our control we will be closing doors at our location” at 1166 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden. The shop’s last day will be Sunday, Jan. 26, according to the post.

However, it’s not all bad news for fans of the unique mini donuts.

“However, since this decision was made we have been tirelessly searching for another, better and safer locality where we can receive our customers and exceed their expectations,” the post reads. “Counting on God we will be announcing the new location before the closure.

“This change will take us some time to reopen in what we go through the process of relocation, permits etc..

“We thank all of our customers for their continued support these two years, we are true believers that everything has a purpose and this will be our opportunity to grow and improve in all aspects!!!”

Owner Yericka Estrada previously told Patch that opening Mighty Donuts in December 2022 was a dream come true.

The post on Facebook told customers to “stay tuned” for updates about the future of Mighty Donuts.
