MILFORD, CT — A Hamden man is dead following a motorcycle crash in Milford on I-95 Thursday, according to state police.
Jose Antonio Febus Rivera, 31, was riding northbound on a 2010 Yamaha FJR1300. He failed to negotiate a turn onto the exit 38 off-ramp for an "unknown reason," police said.
He then entered the gore — the triangular area of land between the off-ramp and the highway —struck a metal reflector post, and caused six DOT sand barrels to fall down an embankment into the woods, police said.
