‘Mystery’ Grocery Store Proposed In Hamden: Report
A new grocery store is being proposed in Hamden, according to a report.
HAMDEN, CT — The former LA Fitness building on Skiff Street in Hamden could become the home of a new grocery store – but it remains to be seen what store is being proposed for the property, according to the New Haven Register.
The Register reports Hamden Economic Development Director Jacqueline James referred to the proposed business as a “specialty grocery store” during a recent Legislative Council meeting, but also said that she didn’t know the tenant’s identity.
LA Fitness closed in June 2021 and has been vacant since then.
