New Girls Soccer Coach Hired At Hamden Hall
Hamden Hall Country Day School announced the hiring on Tuesday.
HAMDEN, CT — Aaron Gialanella has been hired as the new girls’ varsity soccer coach at Hamden Hall Country Day School for the upcoming fall season, officials announced Tuesday.
“I'm very excited to join the Hamden Hall community and have strong ambitions to create a fun environment while empowering players to be their best on and off the pitch,” Gialanella said in a news release.
Hailing from Albany, New York, Gialanella played soccer at Albany High School and the Albany Soccer Club. He played collegiate rugby at the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany).

His coaching career began with “several grassroots organizations before working as a scout and coach for D.C. United Academy,” according to the news release. “In his position, he hosted clinics from Maryland to North Carolina with partner clubs to identify high potential players.”
Gialanella also served as the coach for the New York Red Bulls Academy where he managed the U13B and U12G sides at FC Mount Pleasant United, the affiliate club in Valhalla, N.Y. He also coached seasonal other youth programs.

He has completed courses with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), and the Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA).
Gialanella noted that as a “lifelong learner in soccer, he has aspirations to complete his UEFA B License through the German Football Federation (DFB) in the near future,” according to the news release.
He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in social-organizational psychology at Columbia University, which is scheduled to be completed next spring.
