Obituary: Anna Antonucci Maturo, 80, formerly of Hamden
Anna cherished spending time with loved ones, flowers, gardening, cooking and visiting the casino.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Anna Antonucci Maturo, 80, of Clover, SC., formerly a long time Hamden resident, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on Monday, February 21, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of 54 years to the late Michele Maturo. Anna was born in Gioia Sannitica Province of Caserta, Italy on January 1, 1942 and was the late daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Pacelli Antonucci.
She worked for Brandi’s Meat Market for 22 years and then Tastebuds Deli until her retirement. Anna absolutely loved the casino and playing cards. She loved flowers and gardening.
She loved to cook and spending time with her family. Anna enjoyed going on walks where she would pick wildflowers to make her own bouquets.
She is survived by her children Amedeo (Michele) Maturo of Wallingford, Maria (Jeff) Tuchek of South Carolina, Michael (Anna) Maturo of North Haven, and Antonio (Melaina) Maturo of South Carolina; grandchildren Michela Piscitelli, Anna Taylor, Gina Foth (Eric), Amedeo, Miya, Robert, Isabella and Allasondra Maturo, Justin and Ava Maturo, Victoria, Alexa, Antonio, Marco and Skylar Maturo, and great-grandson Bryson Taylor; sister of Pasqualina Palmieri, Sister Vincenza Antonucci, Frank and Antonio Antonucci, and the late Michelina Landino, Filomena LaVorgna, Concetta Biondi, Enrico Antonucci and Rose Landino
Funeral Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at the Christ the Bread of Life Church (Blessed Sacrament) at 11 o’clock.
Friends may call Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven, CT.
