Obituary: Gloria Marie Davis Mongillo, 92, formerly of Hamden

HAMDEN, CT - (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home) Gloria Marie Davis Mongillo, 92, of East Haven, formerly of Hamden, passed away peacefully on April 27,2022 at CT Hospice in Branford.

Survived by her loving daughter Nadine Avellani of East Haven, three grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Perrelli of Northford, Siobhan Mongillo of North Haven and Maureen Cruz of North Haven, six great-grandchildren, Ava, Mya, and Isla Perrelli, Mackenzie and Audrey Cruz and Ethan Day, a sister Joan (John) Schwartz of New Britain and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Ferdinand Mongillo, a son Gary Mongillo and two brothers, Raymond and Robert Davis. She was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Hamden a daughter of the late James and Catherine Murdock Davis, was a graduate of Hamden High School and had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper at CT Limousine.

Gloria was also, along with her late husband the owner and operator of the Hamden Kennel Shop. Gloria enjoyed bowling in her younger years but the thing she loved most throughout her life was spending time with her family, especially summer vacations in Montauk.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
