Obituary: Lina Carnale Mirabella, 80, of Hamden
Lina, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, worked in the business office of SNET and AT&T in New Haven for over 40 years.
HAMDEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Lina Carnale Mirabella, 80, of Hamden died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of 56 years Aurelio Mirabella. Lina was born in Supino, Province of Frosinone, Italy on December 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Luigi and Ermelinda Corsi Carnale.
She grew up in West Haven and had resided in Hamden since 1974. Lina worked in the business office of SNET and AT&T, New Haven for a total of 42 years, retiring in 2009.
In addition to her husband Aurelio, Lina is survived by two sons, Louis Mirabella of Hamden and Marco (Charmaine) Mirabella of Jupiter, FL, two sisters, Leda (Pasquale) Mercurio of Wallingford and Linda (Fred) Cote of West Hartford, one brother, Victor (Jennifer) Carnale of Wallingford, two grandchildren, Marco and Nicholas Mirabella, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lina’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 19th from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 70 Washington Ave., New Haven.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
