Obituary: Priscilla D. Knox Moore, 51, of Hamden

Priscilla, affectionately referred to as Silla, Sillawine and Goat, was known as loving, kind and blessed with a heart of gold.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Colonial Funeral Home) Priscilla D. Knox Moore, 51, of Hamden CT, departed this life and entered eternal rest on February 24, 2022. She was born on January 16, 1971 to the late Lillie Bell and Luther Harris in New Haven, Ct.

Priscilla was loving, kind, and had the biggest heart for children. She was affectionately known as Silla, Sillawine and Goat.

Priscilla’s favorite pastimes included cooking, listening to music, eating, and playing cards. Priscilla was educated in the New Haven Public School System. She had a heart of gold and would often give anyone her last.

Priscilla leaves to cherish her memory sisters: Gertie Bell, Lucille Dozier, Cynthia Harris-Jackson, Sharon Harris-Freeman, Pamela Harris-Fain(Tyrone); Brenda Mabry; brothers; Kennth Knox (Suzanne) and Donald Harris; Best Friend Ernestine Mutts; Goddaughter Journee Hunter, and Godmother Essie “Sis” Lane. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Priscilla was predeceased by her wife Kiashema Moore; her parents Lillie Bell and Luther Harris; siblings William Knox, Jerome Harris, and Barbara Harris; and grandparents Joe Bell, Inez Bell, Nimrod Harris, and Dosie Harris.

Priscilla was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Priscilla’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 11am at Colonial, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden. Viewing from 10am-11am. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
