Obituary: Russell Sembrat, 53, of Hamden

Russell, a hard worker, loyal friend and devoted family man, worked in the carpenters union 210 for 30 years.

HAMDEN, CT - (From Colonial Funeral Home) Russell Sembrat, age 53, of Hamden, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his home he shared with his wife, Laurie Sembrat.

Russell was born May 31, 1968.

He was in the carpenters union 210 for 30 years. He built bridges and heavy highways. He worked hard and enjoyed working with his local brothers in the union.

He was very passionate about working on cars like his 72 Fastback Mustang.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was known for making everyone laugh.

His close family and friends were very important to Russel.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Laurie Sembrat, include his loving niece Lacey Santoro; his brother George Sembrat; his aunt Betty Hopper; his uncle Dave Hopper; his aunt Judy Pulitano; cousins Billy and Scott; and many close friends.

A wake will be held on Tuesday July 27, 2021 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden from 4-8pm.
