Popular Italian Eatery Expanding With New Hamden Location

The Hamden location will feature wood-fired pizza and paninis made with the family's homemade focaccia bread, according to the owners.

HAMDEN, CT — P & M Fine Foods, a popular Italian food market and eatery, is expanding with a new location in Hamden that is slated to open on Whitney Avenue next month.

P & M Fine Foods, co-owned by brothers Pino and Bruno Ciccone, currently has locations on Orange Street in New Haven and Main Street in Branford.

The brothers recently purchased the fully equipped 2,200-square-foot restaurant facility at 3825 Whitney Avenue, according to Press/Cuozzo Realtors.

The new spot will be called P & M on Whitney, according to Pino Ciccone.

Ciccone said they have been looking to expand and the Hamden facility was “too perfect” to pass up.

The Hamden eatery, which will have more seating than P & M’s current locations, will feature wood-fired pizza and paninis made with the family’s homemade focaccia bread, according to Ciccone.

“We will have sit-down seating indoors and outdoors but would like to keep it casual,” Ciccone told Patch. “We definitely have more seating indoor and outdoor compared to our other locations that's for sure. We have been looking for a while now to expand and when this place came up, we couldn't say no. It was too perfect of a spot. We are hoping to open by the end of April as long as everything is ready, we are ready to go.”

Ciccone said they will be making a few minor changes to the facility, but “for the most part everything looks good and is well laid out.”

“We look forward to serving the community with our good service and good food,” he said. “Also, we will be offering a pizza truck food service for private parties and local events.”
