Paint Hamden Pink began eight years ago and is made up of volunteers who came together to provide hope, awareness and information to those in the Hamden community whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

The mission of the Paint Hamden Pink Committee is to educate the community and spread the word that early detection of breast cancer is the key to saving lives.

Due to the past support of more than 140 Hamden businesses, places of worship, schools, the Hamden Mayor’s Office, the Hamden Fire and Police Departments, Department of Public Works, and the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce, Paint Hamden Pink has raised over $40,000 for Making Strides against Breast Cancer.

The committee encourages anyone interested in making a contribution to donate to a breast cancer group of your choice.
