Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash: Hamden Police
A detailed description of the suspect's vehicle has been released by police.
HAMDEN, CT — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash, police said.
At 5:58 p.m. Friday, police responded to School Street for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian being struck. The vehicle fled the scene of the accident, police said. Police found a female victim who had been struck by a vehicle and was seriously injured, police said.
Hamden Fire Department treated the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in serious but stable condition.

The suspect vehicle fled toward Whitney Avenue and is described as an early model, black or dark grey Chevrolet Suburban, and it will have damage to the front passenger area as well as missing the passenger side mirror housing, police said. The vehicle has distinct running lights above the front windshield, running boards, chrome front bumper and a lifted body, police said
This incident is an active and open investigation. The Hamden Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is leading the investigating of this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Officer Christina Kelley at 203-230-4000.
