"Ramona and Beezus" Showing Friday

Family Movie Night kicks off with a craft project before the movie at the M.L. Keefe Community Center.

The public is invited to enjoy the film "Ramona and Beezus"  as part of  Hamden’s free family movie series on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 pm. at the Margaret L. Keefe Community Center.

Beginning at 6 pm, families can participate in a craft project designed by the Eli Whitney Museum that is based on the movie. Attendees also will be treated to free popcorn and juice.

In "Ramona and Beezus," which is rated G, the misadventures of young Ramona Quimby and her big sister Beezus come to life in this new film based on the best-selling books by Beverly Cleary.

The movie night is sponsored by Hamden’s Arts Commission, Community Services, Youth Services and Recreation Departments.

The event will be held in the gymnasium of the M.L. Keefe Community Center, on the corner of Dixwell Avenue and Pine Street (diagonally across from Burger King). Access to the parking lot is through the rear of the center.
