Reporter Ticketed for Driving While Eating Ice Cream

A Waterbury Republican-American reporter was pulled over and ticketed Thursday afternoon not because she was speeding, or texting while driving or talking on her cell phone while driving.

What was she doing?

She was eating an ice cream cone.

According to the report, Brigitte Ruthman has vowed to fight the ticket.

To make matters worse, a state senator, when asked about the incident, reportedly replied that "We gotta fill the state coffers somehow.”
