HAMDEN, CT — In addition to specials at some of the town’s most popular eateries, Hamden’s upcoming Restaurant Week will also feature local musicians, the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsor Bankwell announced Tuesday.
Hamden Restaurant Week will take place from Monday, Sept. 27 through Saturday, Oct. 2.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Bankwell once again to make this annual event possible,” Hamden Regional Chamber President Nancy Dudchik said. “We’re glad to have them join us in showcasing all our diverse and unique eateries. It’s wonderful to have Bankwell support the community in this way. Restaurant Week also is a great opportunity for people to discover a new restaurant or revisit an old favorite for great prices and deals.”

The chamber also announced it is partnering with the Hamden Department of Arts and Culture and the Hamden Arts Commission again this year to provide live music and entertainment at many of the participating restaurants. The Department of Arts and Culture is working to pair community musicians with restaurants and thanks the Arts Commission for generously sponsoring each band/performer, officials wrote in a news release.
“Arts and Culture is thrilled to have a continuously positive, wonderfully collaborative relationship with Nancy and the Chamber,” said Alisha Martindale, Arts and Marketing Coordinator. “The work the Chamber does to enhance the business networking and opportunities for our Town is priceless and we are grateful to be able to support any endeavor that focuses on bringing attention to the talent, skill, and expertise of the working artists we have here in Hamden.”
For 11 years, Hamden Restaurant Week has “given residents, around the New Haven county area, the opportunity to enjoy the remarkable variety of cuisines available in Hamden, and to support those vital local businesses,” organizers wrote in a news release.
