The Sacred Heart Academy lacrosse team's season came to an end with a loss to top-seeded Lauralton Hall in the Class S championship game.

HAMDEN, CT — The Sacred Heart Academy lacrosse team’s season came to an end with an 18-11 loss to top-seeded Lauralton Hall in the CIAC Class S championship game Sunday morning at Fairfield University.

The sixth-seeded Sharks had advanced to the final with wins over Granby in the semifinal, Northwest Catholic in the quarterfinal, and Haddam-Killingworth in the second round.

Sophomore JJ Kirck led Sacred Heart Academy with five goals, while senior Molly Schmitz had three (including two in the fourth quarter), freshman Alessandra Picard finished with two goals, and senior Erin McMillen had one, according to GameTimeCT.
