HAMDEN, CT — Without community leaders, Hamden wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

What does this community leader do?
Teacher for over 16 years. This woman has so much patience. I remember when she was in high school at Hamden High School one of the most respected and caring young woman. She followed her dream. Even though I know her family, her dad is where I believe she gets it from. Tricia has morals, values, and understanding of children. Tricia would give her last to anyone. This woman is strong, devoted, and dedicated to her students and her family. Again let me state this for the record I admire her love for her students, her low tone voice every day when I see her at work. Also, she makes me feel like a real person who respects and she does not ever look down on anyone. I love her like a sister. I love her dad like a dad as well. But again getting the focus on Tricia I admire this young woman because she gives respect and she gets respects for her students and the adults she works with daily. Also, she looks the same since she graduated from high school. I admire her soul and dedication.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
I feel that Tricia should be recognized for who she is, a dedicated woman who loves her job and her family. Her students, I believe, is what drives her daily. I feel she should be honored because she is a phenomenal teacher who has changed so many lives in her teaching career and continues to change the world around her. Also, I feel she should be honored for her service to the town, dedication to students, and dedication to home family. At times, it can be challenging for teachers but this one right her, she continues to strive for success every day. She loves her students and respects them all around. I admire her attitude, her grace, and responsibility, for her job.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
I want everyone to know that Tricia is an extraordinary woman who does ordinary things to improve the lives of children daily. As well as lives of adults too. I am so proud that I know her.
